Opening a Relationship
Post Body

AP is single and I am a MM. We've been together about a year. ILYs have been exchanged.

AP knows everything about my home situation. I have a chronically ill SO who is physically incapable of sex. I still love my SO but we have not been intimate in over 4 years. I am dedicated to taking care of her.

AP is putting her life on hold for me. She has, at times, said she is willing to wait for me, but has realized that having me long term is not likely. I feel guilty about this. We are both late 50s.

Neither of us want to break it off. She wants to see what she can be like with someone else. I have an opportunity with a pAP as well.

We are looking at this as a joint project that we can work on together with kindness and honesty.

There is also some Hot Wife/Hot Husband aspects to it.

Any advice on a framework for exploring would be welcome. It's both exciting and terrifying, but it could lead to growth.

Your thoughts? PMs fine if you'd rather.
