In a brief moment of clarity you mention noticing her wedding ring. She responds with "my asshole husband is over there playing pool with his asshole buddy" and points across the room. So, she called H an asshole, and said asshole is in same room right now... "Ok" I say, "I'll refrain from flirting too obviously." She glances over at him, "yeah" she says, "that's a good idea for now." Point made and understood.

Conversation continues, turns to politics, turns to thoughts on gun control. She has a concealed weapon permit and her and H both left weapons outside, in the car. Turns out he is ex-Army, runs a gun shop and is a firearms instructor.

H finishes pool game, returns to bar and gets "one more for the road." Polite introductions are made all around, then he pushes her out the door and into the night.

Yeah, she gave me her number. But the question is, should I use it? Is this playing with fire?
