I have had a few instances where I have said something that was misinterpreted and it led to an abrupt ending to a otherwise positive partnership.
For example, in the latest scenario, after spending a lot of time chatting with a woman and she asked how long I was going to continue to work. I said I would be working late today because someone was distracting me all day. But that it was a welcome distraction. She responded with an abrupt ending saying it wasn't going to work because a previous guy had said she talked to him too much...
This has happened with the last three women I've hit it off with. Any thoughtss on how to prevent this? How to recover? Why it happens?
It seems very rash to throw away an otherwise good opportunity. With one of the women, I felt she took it as an opportunity to end something that wasn't otherwise working, but the last one came after a really positive day.
Maybe it's because women have so many options?
