I had a woman contact me off of the Affairs sub. She was excited to see someone from her hometown. We live in a city, but it is fairly small compared to most of the U.S. I was extremely excited once we started talking, she was amazing (yes I know she will probably see this!๐). We clicked over text and I thought this NRE was going to be awesome. Wellllโฆ.come to find out she knows my SIL pretty well. So she was uncomfortable with proceeding. Which sucks, but in our town you are bound to have someone in common, but my SIL was too close.
So where do you draw the line? How close is too close for common acquaintances? Very curious on this answer!
Update: We both agree that it is too risky, we are not pursuing it. Just curious if others have or do they draw the line at, if we know anybody the same, it is off.
