Slight vent.
During the lockdown, I did the unthinkable and saw someone. It was perfect. We both needed some intimacy and friendship during those dire times.
Of course, it wasn’t meant to last. We both moved away and I moved in with my (now) wife. But I still think of her. And nobody comes close.
I’ve had a few great connections, but nothing matches that spark. Or if it does come close, it doesn’t last. Now all I can think of is to drain my savings for some of the better professionals. Maybe then I’ll feel something again.
