After using the online dating apps such as AM, tinder, reddit, etc with success and where both of my prior APs originated. I told myself this year I should branch out and try what we call finding an AP in the wild.

Slower process for engaging, for me, as I met my first pAP in the gym. And, we have been admiring each other for years, but I didn’t know she was interested at the time, as neither approached. But, I know now.

What certainly added to it, as crazy as it sounds, is she has a boyfriend that works out with her. I assumed they were married , dating, or hired gun to keep the men away. The gym is in a relatively exclusive club, so you don’t want to be that guy (hitting on women), nor do you find it there at the time I workout. Though I think evenings could be more promising?

We exchanged greetings over time but never when he was around. I felt like she always gave me a look like don’t talk to me when he is around. I think it turns out my instinct was right?!?

After chatting for a lengthier time one day we connected online afterwards and just eased into the conversation. She would inquire more so I would elevate the conversation each time. We agreed to meet to connect further. She explained she had a SO as did I. We discussed but still plan to meet. Got to think it is still 50/50 odds at this point?

I think getting over the recognition that each has a SO and still wants to meet was a huge hurdle. But, connecting intimately or regularly is still unknown. And, seems a bit of a stretch to me…but will see?

But what is so great by this approach is the caliber of the pAP compared to the online approach. And, that we know starting out we are attracted to one another and we are a bit motivated.

What I need to improve going forward or if she is interested in being my AP is Opsec. And, would certainly help to connect with pAPs at random and outside the places your known.

But, I think there is something to finding an AP in the wild. Would be cool to have a hybrid approach?

And forgot to mention: the two Resturants she wanted to meet to get lunch are Resturants in hotels?! ?
