This is more of a funky story I suppose. Several months ago I got a friend request on Facebook… from a girl I chatted with a LONG time ago. Like back when I was a teenager, in the days of dial-up modems. I’d have to guess we first connected through yahoo chats? I don’t remember much, but we did chat a bunch, and at the time, it was thrilling that this mystery girl would pay attention to me. I guess we must have exchanged names at some point? Like many teen romances, it fizzled out for one reason or another.

Anyway, back to recent times: she sent a friend request on Facebook, but I declined it. I don’t know what it would look like if she sees I’m married and yet I start chatting with a random internet girl… better to be very discreet! Don’t want my life blowing up. Also, I’m not sure what we’d have in common at this point?

Still… I found myself thinking of it the other day, and I have to admit I’m very curious how/why she thought to reach out. Curious what she’s up to, how she’s doing, etc. It looks like she is/was married and has a kid?

I feel it’s so rare that any women notice me, I’m pretty invisible haha. She looks beautiful to me, and I kinda wish I could tell her. But… it’s probably for the best not to go down that road.
