First of all I’d like to say I love these subreddits, so much good reading, and some of the comments crack me up, so thanks everyone! Not many Australians though, so I’m not expecting much in reply to my ad, but you’ve gotta be in it to win it. Anyway, I digress…

I’ve had a couple of instances where the other person has wanted to move the conversation to another app/platform, and it’s only their second message in. I’m not on any other apps, and I’m not sure I want to be on any other apps. Is there a problem with the reddit chat? Seems to be okay. Can send photos, can chat. Was having a nice conversation with a woman over a couple of days until she disappeared, “poof”…

I’m worried about setting up a profile on another app and being blackmailed, hacked, or scammed. Although I’ve now learnt about burner apps, thanks again to these subreddits.

Am I being too paranoid and potentially missing out on meeting someone nice?
