Does anyone know of jobs where reading to people is the main event?

Does anyone disagree with my impressions? - I think the answer is no, there are not paid jobs just for reading - There used to be jobs for things like reading letters or books aloud, and recording them for the blind. Those jobs have all been eliminated by screen readers and AI. - People with acting experience or fame may be able to get gigs as professional audiobook narrators. There are very few of these gigs, and they may be fairly easy to replace with AI soon as well.

Are there any other examples I’ve missed? Appreciate anybody’s thoughts!
