Shut down pursuing a diagnosis and feeling deflated

Post Body

After my post yesterday I contacted my GP practice and asked for a referral. They were incredibly dismissive of my concerns and said that even if a referral was made it would bounce back because "people worse off than you have been bounced back".

I have contacted the practice again today after sleeping on it a realising that I probably miscommunicated and downplayed the severity of the impact on my day to day life. Especially as I have to call during work hours and the most private place I have to speak to someone on the phone is a break room. My car is underground and out of cell service.

I'm open to the testing coming back negative and it being caused by something else but I feel like my efforts to mitigate a full blown breakdown are being dismissed. Feels like an ambulance at the bottom of the cliff situation.

Im so deflated and was meant to hear back this morning and have had no phone call so I am worried I'm being ignored. I really don't know what to do from here. I have the money to do this privately in a pinch but my self doubt creeps in and being told I'm "not bad enough" to require treatment doesn't help.

I really can't function like I am for long and I feel like I am depriving my baby of the Mum I could be. I'm doing everything I can to keep pursuing this to rule it out or confirm but this is so much harder than I expected.
