How to deal with jobs that don't let me use my phone?

I accepted a job recently and am already starting to regret it even though I haven't even started it yet. As silly as it is, it's because I'm not allowed to have my phone during it. There's probably going to be a lot of downtime with nothing to do and I feel like I'm going to go crazy. For those who have a job like this, how does everyone else deal with it?
