I was recently on prednisone to help me recover from an illness but it also drastically helped my executive dysfunction.

Then I read that the long-term side effects were really not great, so I'm pretty devastated. This was the best I've felt in terms of executive functioning in possibly my whole life. I could just remember something I needed to do and do it! If I had been sitting down doing something fun for a while and it was time to get something done, I could just get up and go do it! It wasn't perfect, as I could still get overstimulated by stuff and a bad day would still really impact me, but it was such a huge quality of life difference. I have been out for a while and everything fucking sucks again. Is there a medication that just helps me with my executive functions without making me feel like a zombie or like my frontal lobe is fried after it wears off? I need there to be something that does whatever the hell prednisone does for executive functioning without doing whatever it does that hurts you with long-term use.
