Just here to vent. Adhd tax is a thing, but I've recently realized that having cats brings another kind of adhd tax which I'm calling adhd cat tax. My sweet, cute and cuddly little cat will wreck basically anything that I forget to put away or wreck stuff when I forget to close doors.
In this past month she has wrecked letters, 2 sets of earbuds and a menstrual cup. She also kindly reminds me of glasses with water in them (that I did forget I got to drink) by throwing them over.
I'm annoyed by myself for forgetting this stuff. I'm a tiny bit annoyed by her for wrecking everything (her nickname is menace to society), and then I'm annoyed at myself for being annoyed at her because she is a really sweet cat otherwise.
I'll pay reddit cat tax now and include a picture of my girl. Feel free to commiserate with me by sharing your stories about adhd cat/pet tax.
