Hi peeps,

I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and depression when I was 17. My doctor put me on Lexapro and it really worked for my anxiety but my concentration stayed shitty. I never had trouble in high school cuz I was a bit of a smarty pants and I answered tests intuitively with little studying. So there was never a thought that I'd have a concentration problem. But I never learned how to study, I never paid attention in class and was more of a class clown.

Fast forward to 3 years of academic failure and a failed job, I was diagnosed with adhd (inattentive type). I also have a toxic family and cptsd.

My current problems are motivation, attention, anxiety, lack of decision making, dissociation, hopelessness, depression, ...

I've read in a couple sources now that ssri's and specifically Lexapro can make adhd-related symptoms worse.

My doctor prescribed me Cymbalta cuz he thinks it would work better for adhd symptoms and depression.

What are your thoughts or experiences on this? Should I give it a try or will this put me in a worse mental state?

I'm 21 and go to therapy every 2 weeks.

My main problems with my current meds are: Erectile problems, sweating, mental "dullness", nightmare disorder, no motivation, ...
