My grandma is 75 years old and she's showing signs of aging. Ironically enough, I've noticed we have about the same mentality now and struggle with the same issues. I joke periodically that she finally knows what it is like to be me.
I brought up the fact I didn't worry about aging as much because if I aged like her, it's all normal for me. She said "I don't think you will have your problems anymore because you don't care so much what other people think when you get older," (She'll never say my diagnosises because she doesn't believe ADHD is real.)
I am a 28 year old woman with ADHD and aniexty, no doubt from trying to please my grandma (who raised me). Don't give up hope, you too may one day grow out of it.
