Post Body

How do you support a friend struggling with addiction thatโ€™s never been a issue but you know aware of for the first time in years. What do you do or not do?

Am I wrong for going from a active bestfriend to avtext here there tho i lve never having any issues, conflicts or wrongful acts from her ? Always trusted her around kids and house sitting an with now knowing she's been using past 7 of 20 years I've known her I just don't think I trust her and don't want her around.

I reply if she messages and am here if she needs to chat but my friend and I cut her out because I'm just not sure how we feel about. Known her for 20 years always been best friends. I've always trusted her with my kids. I honestly didn't know she was using until she told me. She's expressed a few times of feeling deeply hurt by thinking shes out and I tell her that I'm not otherwise i wouldn't bother to text her. She's also mentioned how she wished she never opened her mouth about her using past 8 years and that its cause everything to change just from the not knowing to knowing but as i told her don't think its fair for her to not tell me. I deserve a clean friend.
