New to Vyvanse prescription

Hi, I'm new to my vyvanse prescription and know that it's a slow release amphetamine. I was wondering how concerned I should be with withdrawal symptoms. I've taken breaks from it for a week or two and I get all of my ADHD symptoms back but they feel exacerbated and I'm short tempered. I can't tell if the ADHD symptoms just feel worse because I get used to not having them or not. Is that normal or should I notify my doc?
