Discussion: What things do you do to keep yourself sane when studying?
Post Body

Hello everyone, first time posting in r/actuary.

Recently I have been studying for my P1 Exam and I just finished my topic on Discrete Distributions.

I'm at this point now where I'm thinking this is feeling impossible for me. But I know I just have to grind through it and the exams my manual is giving me is typically harder than that of the exam.

I couldn't do the last 3 problems on the section and I just felt like I can't do this test. However, I believe an actuary's true value can only be measured in adversity.

Right now I'm taking a break, playing Valkyria Chronicles on my PS3, and it reminded me that I should take everything slowly. The game reminded me that we should take it all in slowly and we shouldn't focus completely on what's wrong but instead see what we can do to improve.

That is my way to relax and keep myself sane, how about you guys? How do you guys find peace from either a tough time at work as an actuary or studying for exams?
