I plan on taking LMFU in November and looking to get a headstart. I was just wondering how likely people think there might be a significant syllabus change?
In particular, I was surprised to see so little IFRS 17 content (just one reading, it looks like) and still so much US GAAP. I understand that US-only insurers still report US GAAP, but at my company we have completely transitioned to IFRS 17.
How likely is it that in the near future (maybe next sitting) this significant change will be reflected in the syllabus? Do we think there might be more IFRS 17 readings and, if so, less US GAAP readings to keep to the same exam length?
