I'll try to keep it short. Been identifying as bi for 6 years now, only realized it was comp het and that I was actually a lesbian all along in January.
I'm in the closet when it comes to family, but I'm out to friends and at work. I can't possibly be out to my parents given that I still live with them and don't want to get thrown out into the street.
Been single for the last year or so, but I'm still going to ask: what's your opinion on someone who's out of the closet, dating someone who's still in the closet? I generally see a lot of people saying that they'd drop their gf if they proved to be in the closet, and tbh that's a bit disheartening, it feels like I'll never be able to date anyone anymore.
As a side note, I've had a few relationships with other girls so far, all hidden from my family; the longest one was for 3 years, we broke up due to other reasons, not due to being closeted etc.
*EDIT: This post isn't to say that I'll NEVER come out. I do plan on doing it someday, but I need to figure some shit out and possibly have a good way out in case things end badly.
