On getting a girlfriend/dating in general

Hi there

When it comes to getting a girlfriend/dating in general, what are your thoughts on having to be happy on your own first? I consider myself fairly happy in myself but I have no dating life and really want one. Before 'THIS' time I was going to meetups and even starting my own to meet other gay/bi women. I always felt comfortable around other women at meetups but a bit less so in other situations like work and stuff. Is it just a case of that I haven't met the right person or people yet or maybe I need to start opening up more to women in general, talk to them, stop thinking they are scary when their not haha

Would love to know your thoughts, thank you
