In a week, I'm moving to a new city (Los Angeles) where I know no one.

I was thinking about hitting up some gay bars my first weekend out so I can meet some new (queer) people. In the past, the bar has been a good place to meet people, but I've never gone out to a bar by myself. I've also never lived in a town with queer bars and I'd really like to experience that scene.

Is it wierd to go to bars by yourself though? Like if some chick approached you at a bar and she said she came by herself, would that be off putting? I kinda feel like bars/clubs are an unspoken "group" thing.

Any other advice as to where I can meet fellow queer ladies in LA would be much appreciated.
