I know that the answer to this question is definitely subject to each person's preference, but I would really appreciate some realistic insight, and I absolutely know that answers will vary -- all are valuable and I want to hear them!
I am considerably a baby gay and have not yet had sex with anyone who identifies as a woman. The last time I had sex with a partner of mine (a cis man), he told me that I "needed" to trim my bush, or even get rid of it entirely. I'll say I'm pretty hairy, but I once saw somewhere (I can't remember where) that it is respectful or considerate to trim or even shave your bush once you become sexually active with partner(s). I'm hoping to date / become sexually active with a partner/s this year, and I'm wondering what the reality actually is? Like I said, I know something like this can be preferential, but I'm not sure what I should actually do.
** My personal preference for myself is to keep my bush! I love it and I prefer to keep it for safety reasons, but I could consider a trim. I am not going to put myself in a situation that I don't want to be in; I'm just curious as to a more general (i.e., not sexualized) consensus on what people expect in relationships. Thanks!
