Hi lovelies โบ๏ธ
I hope youโre well!
First I just want to say Iโve been a lurker here for a long time and am really grateful for many of the posts from this community supporting trans women or just reveling in our shared love for women. Iโve learned a lot and laughed a lot here ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐
TW: Transphobia
Today though Iโm writing to ask other trans people who love women to weigh in on the phenomenon of transphobic rejection. I imagine, in keeping with the stickied post on the sub, we can understand that to be when someone rejects you JUST because they find out you are trans because they (implicitly) think thatโs disgusting or upsetting.
Although I am married to my amazing wife, we are poly, and I date from time to time. Iโve tried putting it on my profile, and telling people up front. And nearly every girl I tell immediately reacts in shock that I could be trans and then ghosts me, even if I say Iโm postop ๐
I know other transfemme people who love women have experienced this. Not trying to beat a dead horse. But maybe you can share your experiences and advice, so I can learn and heal a bit from your wisdom. It hurts when others invalidate your humanity and womanhood by reacting in disgust or upset to your very existence ๐ฅต
I realize this is a hard topic, and I really appreciate your time and insight, my wonderful wlw community ๐๐ฉ
