I do standup and improv but I want to get into doing paid acting work. I volunteer with a guy whose done commercials and he suggested https://repunzel.com. I setup my tripod in my living room and took some headshots and I sent out the emails.
I have a couple meetings with agents scheduled so far. One boutique agency told me "Your training is really good… And you have a unique look… So I think the potential is there…" but is kind of annoyed that my headshots weren't professional and that I hadn't taken a commercial acting class.
Do I absolutely need to take a commercial acting class for the resume? Should I? If so, what are some recommended in LA?
