Alrightie, here goes...
So for the last several years, (averaging 7-8yrs), I've been making backups of my HDD. As of late, said HDD is failing and won't load Windows 7 OS anymore -- it gets to the splash screen but nothing afterward. Running CrystalDiskInfo details that the drive is failing, so cloning it not an option. (And I've already tried and Acronis fails to read it.)
Now what I do have is a spare 1TB HDD, a reliable one too. And I do have the previous .tibs from the years I've been making backups. How can I go about using this separate HDD with my old HDD's backup .tib? Obvious I'm looking to have it boot into OS as well. The backup .tib is a splitting image of my old HDD so it does have the MBR, Recovery Partition, etc. attached to it.
