I read the entirety of ACOTAR in a matter of days. I don’t have a favorite book but I do have a least favorite which is FS.
Now SF is fresh in my mind and I have to say that I did like reading about Nesta’s story. It was repetitive and the smut was heavier in this one but I enjoyed reading from Cassian’s perspective quite a bit. Same for Nesta.
Nesta as a character I’m still not sure about. I’d say I’m neutral. She isn’t bad but she isn’t good. She’s complex but I think there were moments where she was repetitive and kept going backwards BUT that was probably the point. For those of you who relate, feel free to give me some insight.
Part 4 was probably my favorite part of the book. The later half is better in my opinion. I do like a few scenes in the first half of the book. The argument between her and Feyre, her and Elain was great! The argument with her and Amren was great as well.
I do wish it was written from Rhys and Feyre’s perspective but I understand why it wasn’t. There story is finished. They’ll always be apart of the narrative bc they’re the High Lord and Lady but I did miss them. If SJM is going to write Elain’s book next, I’m interested. I wonder how she’s going to tie in the relationship between her and Azriel and the relationship between Lucien. Lucien is her mate but according to Rhys, she can reject the bond. I wonder if that’s the path Elain will take…
This isn’t a review. Not really anyway. But I enjoyed the book . It’s different and in a good way. It’s almost like a classic far story centered around romance, smutty, with a small plot. Whereas the first 3, are more plot heavy with the romance a main plot point. If that makes sense..
Okay. I’m done haha.
