Villager wants to move out, can I invite them to Happy Home Paradise?

Sherb wants to move out! :( I’m okay with him going as long as I can keep him in a vacation home on the archipelago. My question is: if I say yes to Sherb moving out, can I ask right after to come to HHP (aka before he is in boxes)?? I don’t wanna risk him going into the void if I mess this up!
