So Iām not a makeup girly AT ALL. In high school I only ever put mascara, foundation and concealer on my face and called it good. At that time I had pretty bad acne, and would ācoverā it with makeup, until I did wrestling. I got tired of sweating it off during practice, so I just stopped wearing it. It was hard at first I got āYou look tiredā a lot, but thatās where the confidence started to grow. I started to feel better about myself even though I still had the acne, I realized that I want someone to like me for me not behind makeup. I really just started to bloom with confidence. Hell I even started wearing singlets, at the time I was also insecure about my weight. I wasnāt overweight but I also wasnāt skinny. As time went on I had the money to go to an esthetician for my skin.
Quick side note: Previous to not wearing makeup I went to the dermatologist. My family didnāt have the best insurance so I just got prescribed antibiotics instead of cream. I had to stop taking them because they made me EXTREMELY sensitive to the sun and at the time I was in a spring sport. Iād be standing there then all of a sudden I was extremely lightheaded and exhausted.
Iāve been going to my esthetician for about a year now and my skin looks AMAZING compared to what it was. I go about every 4-6 weeks for a chemical peel, extractions, and a few more fancy things. Then at home I have a regimen with Face Reality products. Itās been so amazing, I 12/10 recommend if you havenāt tried this route. But remember everyoneās skin is different, what works for me may not work for you. I do understand the feeling though, Iāve probably used at least 100 different over the drugstore products before going this route. Itās hard, but eventually youāll find what works. In the mean time embrace it and love yourself, best thing you can do for yourself. :)
Anyways, about that Pressed Power recommendation, I want to find one that is acne safe and Iām going for a natural/matte look. Any suggestions?
Edit: Took out an āaā.
