Mental health and low acid diet

Post Body

Hi all - so Iā€™ve posted here a few times. Been on a low acid diet, alkaline water, no alcohol, no caffeine, sleeping on a wedge, no food before bed time for about 6 weeks now, as well as daily PPIs and it still hasnā€™t helped my throat clearing which Iā€™ve had since Summer,(itā€™s arguably worse). I have a heital hernia and a history of reflux so Iā€™m fairly sure thatā€™s whatā€™s causing it and I have been to plenty of doctors to be referred to ENTs, phonetic doctors, you name it. The problem is I feel like Iā€™m doing everything I can but nothing is helping. The change in diet I would be fine with if it was working, so itā€™s definitely having an effect on my mental health. I am going to CBT too. For someone who has usually felt healthy and runs marathons this has really taken a toll on me. All I can do now is research the surgery for a HH and think thatā€™s the right direction. Any pearls of wisdom or has anyone been through anything similar.
