Should i take medication/tums?

Hey y’all, i have acid reflux/heartburn every once in a while. Today i threw up in my mouth a little and burned my throat. I got pissed and almost went to go get medication but I don’t get heart burn/acid reflux often. Maybe once a week or two weeks. Should i still get medication? Also does this medication show on a drug test.
