Hi all - I’ve been suffering from chronic throat clearing issues and a blocked ear since Summer (August 2022). Tried a low acid diet, gaviscon, PPIs 40mg pantoprazole (for 5 months), sleeping with a wedge and speech therapy. I have also had all the general reflux tests which confirmed a hietal hernia and slight reflux when lying down with the barium swallow. 24hr pH monitoring and endoscopy were inconclusive. Doctor prescribed a herbal mixture which did not work.

I have recently had a CT scan of my sinuses which shows inflamed sinuses (with no allergies) and the ear, nose and throat doctor has suggested a sinus operation, which I am unsure about as if the cause is acid that will not help.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this and what would be the appropriate next steps, seems like I am just being passed from doctor to doctor. I am based in Germany so unable to get a prescription for or purchase Pepcid. Thanks a lot in advance. All very frustrating.
