Hi,
I am currently an undergrad and have been a full time poker player for the last ~3 years. I'm doing the courseload to prepare for grad school, but my GPA has historically been so-so (around 3.3). However, I've spent a lot of time studying game theory applications in poker and studying the game. I'm in the top 20-25 worldwide in Heads up Pot Limit Omaha (doubt that matters) and I've been an instructor/coach for CardRunners.com, too.
I'd like to know if the studies I made in poker could help apply to grad school. I gave a pdf document I send to my poker students about game theory applications to poker, but it's thick with poker technical jargon, which made it hard for him to read. Would it be worth it to "translate" it?
Most of my study work revolves around combinatorics, Nash Equilibrium, Bayesian probability, and simplifying/creating proxies for scenarios too large to solve to be able to get approximate solutions.
Thanks! If there are any questions please ask
