Should corporate publications go on a CV?
Post Body

Hi all,

I'm a junior in undergrad planning on applying to graduate programs (either predoc or PhD, or both, unless you're not allowed to apply to both, in either case, pursuing doctoral studies) in the Fall. Last year, I worked as a market research/data analyst intern for a non-profit organization, and they recently published a whitepaper that I contributed to (there were no authors listed besides the organizations that wrote the paper, so that's another question of if it even counts as a publication I am credited with). It wasn't published in a peer reviewed journal, but the non-profit is very well known and reputable, and we worked alongside a large consulting firm to do the research and analysis, so it isn't a shoddily published paper, just not academic. Should I list this on my CV as research/a publication, or just list the work experience as a job, or both? Another piece to note is that I was the only analyst in the organization, so I was the primary researcher who was actually collecting and analyzing data.

Thanks!
