Hi, I’m an undergrad econ student. I want to get some research experience and the work-study applications at my university recently opened, including a number of research assistant openings in the economics department.
I’d really like to do one, and most application deadlines are on the 25th September. The issue is almost all of them require programming knowledge and data manipulation. I’ve taken econometrics and intro to comp sci before, but I don’t really have any hands on experience, and I forgot how to write even basic code already.
What can I do before the application deadline to increase my chances? I’d really like to do some research, please help.
