2 Week Follow Up Appointment

Post Body

Today was my 2 week follow up appointment at a California Planned Parenthood and I was crying in my car after.

The nurse and doctor kept pulling on my legs and it was hurting me in the hips so bad. And when i was having the ultrasound they were whispering and laughing but suddenly it changed to nervous whispering and "oh should we get a second opinion" and it kept going on and on. And I'm just laying there freaking out while they're moving the wand saying things like "oh do you see it?" over and over. Finally they do decide to get another provider for a second opinion and she asks to do the ultrasound and I agree, just still silently trying not to cry thinking maybe the abortion failed.

Finally after all that time with 3 people checking my uterus the second provider tells me the fetus was gone and there was just a lot of blood and leftover stuff. 🙃 Like I know they wanna be thorough before saying anything but I spent the entire appointment thinking the abortion failed.

The second provider leaves and the 2 original providers just leave immediately after that, leaving me in the room for 5 minutes and finally tell me I'm allowed to leave. And I check out in front and immediately went to my car and cried for a few before I made the drive back to Arizona.

Like I was not expecting my followup to be like that. I didn't even cry at my 1st appointment to get the pills ad honestly left feeling like it was gonna be okay but this followup was not great at all.
