Are clicking sounds from a midi track with no instrument due to headphones?

Post Body

I created a drum rhythm and saved it as a .mid to use in another project. In the new project, I pulled in the file to a midi track with no instrument on it. But I still hear clicking sounds to the rhythm of the hihat midi. How is that possible if there are no instruments on the track?

I have some Bose wireless headphones that I'm using (my DT 900 pro x are on their way). Is it my headphones? I thought midi would be silent without an instrument.
