Cleaning up a 40 year cassette tape that was imported to MP3?

Post Body

I have Ableton Live 10 Lite. 40 years ago a band I was in did some basement recordings direct onto cassette tape. Recently I got the guys together for a Zoom reunion. I hadn't seen these guys for 40 years. The reunion was great and the bass player mentioned that he had some cassette tapes. He's been importing the songs into MP3 format.

I'm trying my best to clean them up. I won't be able to re-mix it because it was all recorded live. I have had a little success using some the built in EQ audio effects but it's still kind of noisy and warbly.

Does anyone have any tips on clean 40 years of grime off of these songs?
