Looper issue when using external clock
Post Body

Hi, all.

I'm having an issue with Ableton's Looper plugin. I'm using an SP404, Digitakt, and Ableton to do stuff on the fly. Mainly, I'm using Ableton for my amp sim plugins, the looper, and to track out when I'm done composing. Everything is synced to the Digitakt's clock. Everything works as it should when I'm playing, recording, and looping. But, trouble arises when I stop the track.

When I hit stop on the Digitakt, and then hit play again, the audio in the looper is just randomly stretching and shifting in pitch. It never gets back in sync if I let it run. I'm wondering if there's a clever workaround or perhaps my looper settings are off. I currently have it setup as such:

Song Control: None

Tempo Control: Follow song tempo

Quantization: Global

I'm also using a Behringer FCB1010 with a EurekaPROM to control the looper via midi. So I'd like to keep that type of setup going, where I control the looper via footswitches. I want to continue to do everything on the fly, and would definitely not want to be clicking and fiddling in Ableton to record my loops. And it's also worth noting that I want to keep everything synced to the Digitakt, because I'll be using a regular midi controlled looper pedal when doing stuff live. So, I'd like to keep everything revolving around the Digitakt.

Any advice or ideas would be helpful!
