Audio effect rack makes track louder - But only on one project.

For some reason putting an audio effect rack on my tracks on this ONE project makes them louder. I've got a very pleasant, yet unexpected effect from putting one on my 808 and getting a much more fat sound which I wanted to get. But I have no idea why, and I don't want my racks modifying the volume of tracks that I DON'T want them louder. Why is this happening?
