Although I am not generalizing that each and everyone I have DM'ed treated me the same, I have encountered a Redditor who approached me in an unkindly manner.

I have been sending a private message or direct message as a reply to posts on a known Ace dating subreddit. Almost everyone turned me down nicely because they prefer someone who lived nearby or because they can't do long-distance. However, one person messaged me "Find someone else who will get you your green card."

Being asexual in my country is hard because almost everyone here has normalized hook-up culture and have high libido. I am also child-free and have problem dating someone who is the same because we are a factory of baby-making. I was fortunate enough to learn about that sub and find people who are Ace and feel like I'm normal & not alone.

I have no problem with dating long-distance. I can work hard and save money to go there only to prove I'm not after a green card. But please do not look at all people who come from developing or third world countries as people who only are after you to live in your home country.
