It all began millennia ago, our scientists discovered our species natural ability to warp reality, an ability that sprung from our deep and mystical connection to what was called the Force. Using it, we built spaceships, warships, which could travel while stretching the bounds of the Laws of Physics. We felt that we could to take the Universe, and we did, or at least thought that we did, we let our greed become our master, we began with the Numoreans, and went on until we became the Masters of 1400065 species. We became the incarnate of Fear.

In our arrogance that we were the most advanced species in the Universe, we turned to an abandoned corner of the Universe, where in an entire Galaxy, only one single intelligent species seemed to exist, we abandoned all protocol, without even bothering to research, we decided that our reputation would precede us and set plans to begin a new invasion. We had expected it to be simple, because for the hundred cycles we had seen them to be peaceful.

The United Nations of The Earth

Log 1:

Planet:Earth

Classification: General

Secretary General: John Kelly

They said that another war would not come, that the twenty first century was one of peace, that the world was stable.

WE WERE WRONG

The middle East was the place where it all began, Israel chose to annex all of its neighbours, beginning with Egypt and Jordan, within a matter of months it had annexed all of Africa.

Meanwhile, Britain had officially exited the European Union and together, the UK and USA supported Israel. Europe and the Middle East actively pursued a campaign against the new Israel. Eventually Russia and China got involved. And the first nuke was fired by DPRK. From there it all went to the dogs. The third World War began with all 196 countries of the Earth being involved in it, there were no bystanders. Eventually half of Russia was lost, South America was completely nuked to the ground, and Japan retook Manchuria. From seven billion, human population dropped to seven billion. Sons held in their arms their dead mothers, daughters held their fathers, entire cities orphaned, families without breadwinners, truly, it seemed as if the heavens had shown their wrath.

Eventually an armistice was reached to, and the United Nations stepped in, we had learnt our lesson. Major policy changes happened, the United Nations turned from a recommendatory body to a governmental authority, the newly appended Charter of The United Nations and the Statute of the International Court of Justice became the two most important documents for a of humanity.

And then came a surprise, something which no one ever expected.

As we approached the Milky Way, our Force-Drives started malfunctioning, we slipped out of Force-Space a few kilometers away from what is called the Oort cloud, though it is so much huger than a cloud, and far more heterogeneous than one. Using our normal thrusters, we reached the what used to be the Asteroid belt in between Mars and Jupiter (which are planets in the Sol system).

There seemed to be a problem with the Force based engines.

Here we hailed Space Command back home at Nemoa, we received confirmation from command in what is a fortnight in Earth time. We proceeded with protocol and blacked out all communication, so as to not alert the humans.

Log 2: John Kelly

You must be wondering how I am able to relate events with such clarity, the simple answer would be, I was there when WW3 happened, it would suffice to say that Calico was a huge success.

Somewhere, some great person had got it right, humanity jumps by leaps and bounds only under the threat of war, during and after WW3, or as I prefer to call it, the Big Ugly, scientific discoveries hit humanity as a tidal wave would hit a beach, continuously, unrelentingly, we progressed far into the future. It was a time of recovery, a time of rebuilding, one where we shunned war.

It was without much difficulty that we decommissioned most armed forces. Log 3: Thüriel

The humans had hailed us while we were hiding behind the orb called Mars, strange that they would name a planet after a fictional character, we were surprised that they were not only able to speak the Universal language of English, but also spoke the language of the Ancients. Having gone black, we chose not to go back online to communicate.

Log 3: John Kelly

We discovered that we were not so alone in the Universe, the Mars Rover, Opportunity, notified us of anomalous readings it noticed, we then trained the second Hubble Gravitational Spacescope towards Mars, and detected anomalies in the Gravitational influence on Mars, along with a different anomalous spin ratio, we hypothesized that either Mars had been hit by an object the size of Europa or had a fleet behind it. To verify, we switched on our Inframeyers-meters which could detect elemntal anomalies, and to our surprise, we found the presence of an element never observed previously. We also found an strange interaction between that element and how it bended gravity, and thereby warping space-time in it's local region. At this point we had understood that this certainly wasn't natural.

Third Person Point of View:

Using their Force-Anomalous blasters which could atomize any element lighter than Carbon, they struck the Pale Blue Dot, causing over a billion deaths, they thought that they had brought humanity to it's knees.

Unknown Human's POV:

The smell of burning flesh and boiled blood hung in the air, the moaning and wailing of those who lost something, was the only things heard, it was a Wednesday like any other, for a hundred years, we lived in fraternity, humanity as one, on the principles of One for All and All for One. The people of our time did not know of conflict, for they lived in a world with a near nil crime rate, then we understood, it was the work of extraterrestrials, then they dared send an envoy.

The envoy approached a young girl, mourning the loss of her mother, the envoy attempted to hug the child, not noticing the little shiv of glass in the girl's hand.

All it took was one little swing, a stream of blue blood flowed out, and the ability to kill had returned to humanity.

THE BEAST HAD AWOKEN. THERE WOULD BE NO MERCY

Log 4: Thüriel

There is this human adage, even a sleeping beast seems peaceful, humanity had always had conflict in it's blood, under their seemingly calm and demure mannerisms, lied unparalleled creativity which when in phase with humanity's bloodlust would make even a child as young as five years dangerous.

WE HAD MADE A MISTAKE

Assuming that humans were technologically sterile we went for them like how a fisherman would attempt to catch fishes, not realizing that we were going after a Great White.

Our fleet began to lose its structural integrity, the darned humans had unleashed some strange weapon which affected the Force, we were suddenly on a strange planet without any hope of support.

About half a century after the Big Ugly, we discovered an anomaly, if Thorium was channeled through an accelerator and then made to hit Plutonium, there seemed to be an effect upon quantum stasi Gravity and something which we we're unable to understand, a scientist proposed the usage of this mechanism against these extraterrestrials, it seemed to have worked since the structural integrity of their ships was lost, and the atmosphere tore through their ships.

Then we unleashed the true power of humanity, it is said that the Persians made the Earth shake when the marched with their million odd soldier slaves, the chronicler should have been there when humanity marched with a billion people, men, women, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, friends and foes, all marched arm in arm.

A people that perfected the ability to kill each other hardly a century ago, now was United against a common enemy, in a battle for it's very existence.

If ever there was a time when humanity had unleashed it's full wrath, the fury of a people which had lost all, it was then, the beasts that were suppressed for a century were brought to the fore.

Epilogue

And now humanity set forth, to become the liberators of the Universe, growing to their true and full potential, the humans had matured through the mold of war.
