Hello fellow metalhead redditors! This subreddit was created to see suggestions of the heaviest riffs you can come across. Here's the gist of it: you need to search for guitar riffs that, well, make you wrinkle your nose at how nasty, heavy, disgusting they sound. You know what I mean if you listen to Doom, Death, Sludge or Prog Metal subgenres, or even Djent, which are more likely to have the kind of riffs we look for here at r/wrinkleyournose!

Ok so, Metal music heaviness is subjective. Some say Metallica is heavy, others say Cannibal Corpse is heavier, while others say Meshuggah is much heavier. Well, all of them are, be it through lyrics, instrumental, vocals... At this subreddit however, we'll be looking at face melting guitar riffs specifically! It aspires to be a center of face melting riffs encyclopedia, to showcase the nastiest guitar string noises and bends, and hopefully make certain bands known to other people!
