So we have a fledgleling industry in building deconstruction in town. We had one previous contractor that did it for years. Now we have a law that says some buildings must come down for materials- not by demolition. This started other contractors beinging to do deconstruction.
The previous contractor is bullying all the attempts at other business trying to get into deconstruction. He know inspectors, calls in every little violation he sees. Calls potential clients and tells them about these violations. Under bids jobs for a loss, just to take them away from anyone else.
He’s trying to sabatoge and create a monopoly. It’s starting to work. But if the industry fails, so does the law. This experiment of saving materials will go under.
How do you battle a bully and not sink to his level or undermine a fragile policy?
