How do you express on paper that when you say "I felt a crushing pain in my chest" that you actually felt that sensation. It's not "I felt really bad" it's straight up "I had a very uncomfortable thing happen in my chest when I found out what I had done" It's 100% real, the best way I could describe finding out my ex was talking to the guy she left me for and who she left because of his abuse, is by telling you about the very real sensation of giant shards of glass skewing me through my shoulder blade and out my chest. It didn't feel like sadness or betrayal, those are things the physical body doesn't feel. I felt impaled by glass when I found out. I felt my heart be stabbed and impaled.
