A new moderator & an eventual audios amigos
Post Body

Greetings All!

I started this sub a while back to give everyone a place to talk about the most mundane watercooler subject ever: the weather. Ok, well it's not that mundane but you get the idea.

Anyway, people like posting pics of sunsets and clouds, why not give them a place where they can do that and it be encouraged? Maybe even spark their interest in more weather, the science behind it, spotting, safety, etc.

So, this sub is a success insofar as we have participants, we have interest, we have some discussions. It's not an overly lively sub, but we haven't yet been discussing jet stream impacts of Donald Trump's hair.

In with the new...

So it's with great pleasure, that I welcome /u/saudiaurora to the Moderating Team. SaudiAurora has been active on this sub and also moderates /r/AuroraCO. People may not realize it but /r/COWX helped /r/AuroraCO with CSS and how to get things looking pretty. We've got history here, and so it's great that SaudiAurora has accepted to be a new moderator here!

...Out with the old

So, why a third moderator? Well, it's not exactly a third-moderator. I've accepted a transfer in my company that will take me away from Denver to the Midwest within the next few months. So, while my family and I pack up and do a little Wagons East (hopefully where I, the fat man, does NOT die before the end of the movie), I felt it was important we start looking at keeping a two-person team here to help this sub grow.

I'll stay on as a moderator probably until the end of the year, to help mainly with technical stuff as it comes up but also to participate, and I'll likely stay a member going forward because Colorado has some pretty awesome weather, dammit. And I'm not just talking about our sweet sunsets and clear skies. The 13,000' elevation occurring freak tornados are just one thing that I don't think I can fully separate myself from. And it's a lot better than testicle-killing cold that I'll be dealing with in the frozen tundra of the north plains.

So, welcome /r/saudiaurora!
