Introduction to Korinese
Post Body

Korinese is spoken in the mighty Nation of Saraliana. Saraliana was conceptualised for use in the Minecraft server Civcraft, though Saraliana has become a full scale worldbuilding project. Korinese was revived from a deceased conlanging project I started a year or so ago, and has now been fully repurposed for Saraliana.

Korinese was designed to sound somewhere between Nordic and Germanic, and the final result sounds like a cross between Gaelic, Swedish, and Dutch, with perhaps some other sounds in it, as well. Korinese uses a syllabic writing system consisting of glyphs.

Korinese is a language with an intentionally ambiguous and liberal word order. Basic sentences, such as "Where are you going?" can be expressed in many ways, all of which are grammatically sound.

Korinese starts with a SOV word order, and tense declensions on the subject, but the language's freedom can allow for many combinations of syntaxes.

I will periodically add snippets of Korinese grammar of lexicon to this subreddit.

This post is not meant to contain any material about the conlang, just give a brief overview. The material for the conlang can be found throughout this subreddit.
