おやよ!
So, what's up with this subreddit? In short, it's a place for SRS users to discuss Japanese things: anime, manga, women's rights in Japan, and how all of these things intersect with feminism! I'd like this thread to hash out some rules, what we want this place to be, and how we can do that.
First off, all normal Fempire rules apply. Nothing bigoted, nothing creepy, no trolling, and no being mean on computer. I'd like to also prevent some common things from taking hold that tends to happen in anime communities, specifically elitism and the like.
Otaku-speak (is that a word? what's the term for that?) — things like calling others "senpai", using memified Japanese, etc — is up in the air. If it's accepted, I'd at least like people to keep it to a minimum. I don't want this place to be super serious, but I'd like fun stuff to coexist with serious topics, you know?
Anime, and less-so but still-a-bit manga, can be incredible problematic, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it and talk about it! So let's make this place one of the best communities on the 'net!
