So I've completed a few projects, all of them minor, in the interest of archaeology.
1-A manuscript recovered by the no defunct International Literary Society revealed an old temple of sorts somewhere in what used to be N5K2, what is now Eastern Augusta. The ILS sent out a plea for Augustans to search for it, unearth it and bring back any findings. Nobody could find it, and the area is now almost fully developed. The chances are that it was unearthed and built over, but this cannot be said with certainty.
2-The Fisherman. A local legend somewhere in - -, this was apparently an effigy carved out of stone on the top of a mountain. I am currently hacking away at the vines and trees, as I think I've found a possible location. Perhaps it's a natural formation, perhaps it's a statue built by ancient Civcraftians as an ode to some god.
3-The Boireann Monastery. Near the village of Coldharbour (possibly abandoned) there's a deep chasm splitting the earth in two. I found a broken bridge spanning it, which led to a path to a heap of bricks, columns, crumbling walls, and an altar. Asking the locals it appeared to be the ruins of an old order of generous monks who revered the gods of the depths. Etchings of some of these gods can also be vaguely made out in the finds, among them a god of magma, a goddess of fortune and others.
4-Mt Augustan Stone Circles Somewhere to the west of Mount Augusta, I've heard of some stone circles and standing stones. I haven't found them yet, and there's a large area to cover. Perhaps satellite images might help (here's lookin' at you, cartographers!)
More to come including images. It's nicer to keep the co-ordinates vague, so others can have fun discovering these ruins.
