What are the DAW options on Android/( pros, cons, & suggestions )
Post Body

Ive shopped around for months trying out every music production, sequencing, Full DAW, I could find and I still have yet to find one that I feel I can commit to away from my computer.

I've come to realize that I am looking for the Garage Band of Android.

There are a few that I liked but I'll list every one that I have tried below. If you have a preference that your currently working with please chime in with your reason for using the app, why it works for you and you intentions regarding music production.

There are some boundaries I have to set prior to help specified what I'm looking for.

1: no online DAWS sound trap and others like are cool but no wifi means no production

2: must have real production capabilities. In the sense that it's NOT JUST A PRE MADE LOOP SEQUENCER!

3: midi and audio are preferred but if only one is available . How do you utilize it

4: !!IMPORTANT!! HAS TO BE AS CLOSE TOA FULL DAW AS POSSIBLE. Not co-dependant on computer software, not mainly or predominantly a controller, functions by itself preferably midi device compatible and able to interact with other DAWS . Hoping it has midi learn

List of DAWS I've used

FL studio mobile N Track 9 pro Audio evolution Caustic Sound Trap Music studio pro G stomper (haven't used all in the series) Stage light Mid sequencer 2 (still testing)

NOT IN AN ORDER

If you have used any of these and have come to favorite a particular one please say why so we can have a conversation on the use and the benefits and how it has helped you create music. If you know of another app that is not listed feel free 2 give some pros and cons and a link so I and others can find it.

It sucks that apple has GarageBand and Android is still pretty much up in the air about their music making capabilities especially when they are transitioning into the laptop arena with chrome OS. It's been a long time trying out all of these apps and still going. Just trying to narrow down the best option out of the sea of candidates in a quest to make music on the go away from the computer or at least get a start and have access 2 the proper functionalities with a decent UI.

Let's start the conversation and hopefully be able to steer those in search and need in the right direction.

If anyone has questions on the apps that I have used just ask and if it's a good idea 2 give my own personal individual opinion on the breakdown of those apps that I have listed say so in the comments. I haven't done it at this point because I don't want to come with a biased opinion because one of those apps may not be suitable for the way I create music compared to someone else's but I'm willing to give my input on my experience if you guys think it's necessary.

Maybe google/Android sees this and decides to pick up some of us on RND Droid music
